Army chief visits NMR Command to check on border units' preparedness

Amman, August 18 (Petra) – Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Maj. Gen. Yousef Ahmed Huneiti, on Tuesday visited the Northern Military Region (NMR) Command.

Huneiti, accompanied by several senior officers of the Jordanian Armed Forces (JAF)– Arab Army, was briefed on the Command's key tasks and duties, its ongoing programs and plans, as well as progress made on training and logistical operations.

The briefing also highlighted efforts to protect the Kingdom's borders and the preparedness level of the Command's formations and units to handle various tasks.

Talking at the visit, Huneiti said the JAF General Command places "remarkable" importance on readiness of its formations and combat and logistical units, and is committed to their "continuous" monitoring and assessment.

He noted that this effort ensures these units' capacity to implement tasks "efficiently and adequately" and raises the level of its personnel's readiness and morale.

Calling for continuing training and development, he focused on raising the level of efficiency and professionalism to enable units, mainly troops operating on the front lines, to perform their duties with "high efficiency and maintain the highest levels of readiness to defend the nation's borders and preserve its security and stability." Concluding the visit, Huneiti wrote a note in the visitors' book, expressing his pride in the region's personnel, commending their efforts, dedication, and devotion in performing their national duties, and their continuous efforts to defend the homeland.
